One weakness of Los Blancos

DBasia.news – Real Madrid managed to win when they met Getafe during LaLiga 2022-2023. But the victory has not satisfied Carlo Ancelotti.

In the match which took place at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez, Sunday (9/10), Madrid beat Getafe with a narrow score of 1-0. These results temporarily bring Los Blancos to the top of the standings.

Madrid started the game well. Eder Militao was able to break the deadlock in the third minute with a header.

Winning fast makes Madrid appear more comfortable. Luka Modric and his team dominated full possession of the ball.

Even so, Madrid were unable to score an additional goal until the game was over. Though the visitors fired 19 shots.

This is what makes Ancelotti dissatisfied. He considered his team to be more effective in taking advantage of opportunities.

“Sometimes you have games where you feel comfortable with the ball. We scored early and that helped us not to rush or push the game too much,” Ancelotti said after the game.

“We moved the ball well and controlled the game but we weren’t clinical. We’ve created a lot of chances over the last few LaLiga games but we haven’t scored many goals.”

Ancelotti’s concerns are well-founded. Madrid should not have difficulty to score as they have one of the best front lines in the world.

Karim Benzema and Vinicius Junior became the main focus to score goals. While other players such as Rodrygo to Marco Asensio were also just as sharp.

Even so, Ancelotti was thrilled with this victory. He is aware that the match against city rivals is never easy.

“The team played well and deserved to win. I am elated because last season we slipped here and now we are more solid and stronger,” he added.

“We also managed to keep a clean sheet which is vital because we showed real intensity and defended really well. Militao and Rudiger were fantastic, as was Tchouameni in front of them.”
