Ousmane Dembele is Far Better Than Neymar

DBasia.news –  Josep Maria Bartomeu, President of Barcelona, ​​has an interesting opinion regarding two players, Neymar and Ousmane Dembele. According to him, Dembele is far better than the former Barcelona player.

The 27-year-old Brazilian is part of Barcelona’s past. Neymar had strengthened Blaugrana in mid-2013-2017 before finally moving to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

When moving to PSG, Neymar broke the world transfer record of 222 million euros and still remains the world’s most expensive player to date. Then, the funds were used by Barcelona to purchase two stars at once, Dembele and Philippe Coutinho.

The last name mentioned hasn’t shown great performance since moving from Liverpool in January 2018. But, Dembele is not and is able to steal Camp Nou’s public attention.

Unmitigtedly Bartomeu considers Dembele as a better player than Neymar. “With that money (Neymar’s sale) we bought players like Dembele and Coutinho. Dembele is better than Neymar. He is in Barca and is better,” Bartomeu said on Sport-English.

“I will not say yes or no (Barca’s chance to buy Neymar back). I said with the money they have, Barca made a bet on the technical side of the sport,” he explained.

Dembele, 21 years old, one of Barcelona’s assets in order to prepare an era without Lionel Messi, if later La Pulga decides to retire. Bartomeu believes, Messi will not retire in the near future.

“We have to look for long-term talents. Soon it will be a different matter in Barca, but I don’t think that will happen in the near future. Messi has a contract until 2021 and I think we will give him another new contract,” added Bartomeu.

“He is much stronger than before. He has ambitions and hopes, and we also have Messi for a long period of time,” he concluded.
