Palestine Test Vietnam Ahead of 2018 Asian Games

DBasia.news – The U-23 Palestine national team believed as the strongest opponent of Indonesia in the Group A of football in 2018 Asian Games. During the final preparation, Palestine joined the U-23 international tournament in Vietnam.

The competition will be conducted in Vietnam from August 3 until 7. Besides Palestine and Vietnam as the host, Uzbekistan, and Oman will also join the tournament ahead of 2018 Asian Games.

Palestine would start the performance ahead of Vietnam on August 3, before meeting Uzbekistan on August 5 and Oman the next two days.

Palestina joined the tournament after preparation in the Middle East. Recently, the U-23 Palestine national team had two friendly matches against Oman with the draw 0-0 and defeat 2-4 score before leaving to Vietnam.

The U-23 Palestine national team were also supported by players who previously joined the U-23 Asia Cup in January. In the group phase, Palestine defeated 0-1 from Japan, 1-1 from North Korea, and 5-1 from Thailand.

Palestine qualified the quarterfinal of the U-23 Asia Cup before defeated by Qatar 3-2.

These things made Palestine a difficult opponent for Indonesia. Besides Palestine, Indonesia also belongs in the same group as Hong Kong, Laos, and Taiwan.
