Paul Pogba’s recovery is still a mystery

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Massimiliano Allegri, Juventus coach, admits that he has no knowledge on when Paul Pogba will appear in the Bianconeri match, considering that the player is still recovering from an injury.

Pogba is reported to have recovered from injury, and will play against Monza in January, but did not start, and watched his team-mates from the bench. After that, Pogba was actually injured again.

This situation has raised questions for Juventus fans, considering that Pogba has never played since being recruited from Manchester United for free. Even Pogba is said to be released.

Allegri admitted he did not know how far his recovery from injury would go. According to Allegri, at least Pogba needs up to 20 days to recover, but that’s not certain. Pogba is confirmed to be absent against Fiorentina on Monday (13/2), as well as Nantes in the Europa League four days later.

“Pogba is still in treatment. He will not only miss tomorrow’s match, but also against Nantes. This is the reality, “Allegri said in his statement to reporters quoted by the La Gazzetta dello Sport website.

Allegri dismissed Pogba’s injury as a recurrence. The coach explained, Pogba experienced pain in his knee. The medical team is still working hard to recover from his injury.

“He’s trying to get better soon and I can’t tell you when he’ll be back. Maybe in a week, maybe in 20 days. We are still waiting for him, because we consider him an important player, “explained Allegri.

“This is a normal stage after the external meniscus. One moment it can make you work well, another time it can bother you. He was trying hard to recover. We continue to monitor his progress, and what is clear at this time he is not possible.”

Juventus are hunting for a win against Fiorentina to stay away from the relegation zone, following the 15 point deduction they received. Two wins in the Copa Italia and Serie A have become valuable capital for the Old Lady to improve their position in the standings.
