Pele Wants Neymar to Break His Goal Record in the Brazilian National Team

DBasia.news – The living legend of Brazilian football, Edson Arantes do Nascimento or commonly called Pele, wants his record as the all-time top scorer of the Selecao to be broken by Neymar
Neymar cries after scoring his 68th career goal for the Selecao. He said these were difficult years for his nation and he just wanted to make his people proud.
“For me (to approach Pele), I’ve been through a lot in the last two years,” Neymar said.
“These numbers are nothing more than my joy playing for Brazil, representing my country, my family. We are all going through very unusual moments, very difficult moments in Brazil and elsewhere,” he added.
“Being a role model for someone, making people happy, it gives me joy. I love the stories I write here, I want my family and friends to be proud,” said the PSG forward.
It seems that Pele is genuinely excited about Neymar’s current form, as the 80-year-old wrote on his Instagram account that it’s impossible not to be touched when he sees the 29-year-old striker playing.
“Every time I see this kid, he smiles,” Pele wrote on his Instagram page. “It’s impossible not to smile back. It’s contagious.”
“I, like all Brazilians, are always happy when I see him play. Today, he took another step towards my goalscoring record for the Selecao. And I support him to get there, with the same excitement I have had since,” he closed.
