DBasia.news –  A Manchester City fan is a victim of violence from the Champions League match at the Veltins-Arena, Schalke’s headquarters. His condition was critical and Pep Guardiola, Man City manager, was sad to hear the news.

The Champions League last 16 first leg fight ended with a score of 2-3 for Schalke’s defeat. The hosts’ two goals came from a penalty scored by former Tottenham Hotspur player Nabil Bentaleb, while Man City’s three goals were scored by Sergio Aguero, Leroy Sane, and Raheem Sterling.

A 32-year-old fan became a victim after a fuss with two Schalke fans. In critical condition, the fans went into a coma due to severe injuries in the bones and brain. He came to the Veltins-Arena to support The Citizens with his father, mother, and sister.

Man City staff in Germany provided support for his recovery, while local police investigated to find out the perpetrators of the violence. Guardiola also expected the same thing: the perpetrators were arrested while providing support to the fans.

“Yes, we found out the day after the fight (there are Man City fans who are in critical condition). Of course, that is bad news. One family – mother, father, sister. Unfortunately, that happened. Of course our prayers and our grief to them, “Guardiola said, quoted from the Telegraph.

“The news is really hard to accept. Football is always a game, spectacular to those who enjoy it, but right now things like that, unfortunately, are still happening.”

“Hopefully the police in Germany can solve the problem and the most important thing is, the man can recover and get healthy again as soon as possible,” hoped the Spanish manager.

Soon, Man City will play the 2018-19 League Cup final against Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday (24/2) at 23.30 Western Indonesian Time. Vincent Kompany et al are the only team that still fights in four competitions. Besides the League Cup, they also still play in the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League.
