DBasia.news – Talking about player transfer, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola sees his team couldn’t compete with two Spanish giants, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Manchester City have been associated with Ajax Amsterdam player, Frenkie de Jong. On the other hand, the Dutch player also raised the interests of Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Though didn’t explicitly mentioned De Jong, Guardiola admits he often could do nothing when competing with Madrid and Barcelona in the transfer market. Moreover, Blaugrana and El Real have more prestigious factors.

“If you are the only one who want players it’s easy. But if you want one and many, many clubs want him it’s more complicated, especially if it’s Madrid or Barcelona,” Guardiola explained cited by Soccerway.

Guardiola thinks Madrid and Barcelona have a stronger financial than Manchester City. “Normally when you are involved with Madrid and Barcelona you are going to lose. You have to be quicker and more efficient,” the manager continued.

“But I’m not talking about the case of the Ajax player because he is an Ajax player. There are many players, not just one if it doesn’t happen,” the former Barcelona player explained.

Actually, Manchester City aren’t the club with an average budget. The Citizens often spend high budget to sign their target. Moreover, The Citizens are under the observation of UEFA regarding the Financial Fair Play regulation.

Man City are accused of having fraud about sponsorship collaboration. The company who became the sponsor belongs to the President, Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Consequently, Man City might be suspended from Europe competitions.
