Petr Cech Calls Frank Lampard Isn’t the Only Candidate for Chelsea Manager

DBasia.news –  Frank Lampard has been rumored to have joined Chelsea lately. Petr Cech, Chelsea’s Technical Director, also spoke up and considered Lampard is not the only candidate.

Chelsea’s new manager’s hunt never ends even though the transfer market has opened. They sought the successor of Maurizio Sarri who decided to leave.

Maurizio Sarri chose to return to Italy to deal with Juventus. Sarri replaces Massimiliano Allegri who parted ways with the Serie A ruler.

Frank Lampard is said to be a strong candidate for Chelsea’s new manager. However, the Blues had difficulty securing Lampard’s services because Derby County did not want to take him off.

Apparently, Frank Lampard is not the only candidate for Chelsea manager. At least, as stated by the former club goalkeeper and high-ranking player, Petr Cech.

“Chelsea have targeted several replacement candidates for Maurizio Sarri. The situation in the search for new managers is very open at this time,” said Petr Cech.

“Frank Lampard is only one of several candidates. Until now, the team has been preparing to resolve the problem regarding the appointment of new managers.”

“The most important thing is to appoint a new manager. The manager will have an idea about the team before we complete the squad for the 2019-2020 season. He will be appointed before Chelsea leaves for Japan,” he added.

Chelsea get the green light to approach Frank Lampard a few days ago. Derby County has given the Blues the chance to negotiate with Lampard.
