DBasia.news –  Last January, Petr Cech surprised the public when he decided to retire at the end of the 2018-19 season. The age of the Arsenal goalkeeper will be 38 years old when he retires later.

Not being the first choice in Unai Emery’s squad, it seems to be one of the main reasons why the Czech Republican goalkeeper decided to hang shoes from the world of football, and is likely to undergo a new adventure as a coach.

With Cech’s decision to retire, he made himself high in the remainder of his career with the Gunners. The 37-year-old player is very ambitious to bring Arsenal to win the Europa League.

“Of course that (winning the Europa League) will be an ideal scenario to end my career. We set a target to win in each match and grow step by step,” Cech was quoted by the Guardian.

“Winning the Europa League will be a happy memory for every player, because it can lead you to the Champions League competition,” he concluded.

In the last 32 of the Europa League, the Gunners will meet BATE Borisov on Friday (15/2) at 00.55 Western Indonesian Time. In the competition Emery seemed to have trusted Cech fully to fill his role as the main goalkeeper.
