Pioli: The Results of Milan’s Hard Work Last Season Are Visible Now

By db-admin

DBasia.news – AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli reveals his team’s hard work last season is starting to pay off now. The 2-0 victory over Venezia in the Italian Serie A continued was one of them.

AC Milan had difficulty in the first half to dismantle the Venezia defense. However, in the second half, the situation changed. Brahim Diaz (68′) and Theo Hernandez (82′) listed his names on the scoreboard.

With the win, Milan earned at least 13 points in five games of the Serie A season opener for the fourth time in the three-point era. Previously, the Rossoneri recorded the same thing in the 2002-2003, 2003-2004 and 2020-2021 seasons.

Interestingly, one of those seasons, or rather in 2003-2004, Milan came out as champions.

“I know the work we did last season will pay off this season. Because this is a process and sooner or later they will reach this level,” Pioli told DAZN.

“We won a lot of games last season. However, I think the better thing is that we are more mature now and also have the support of the fans, where last season was very lacking.”

“Our goal is to improve our home record from last season. I think we can do that with the help of the fans at San Siro.”

Currently, Milan is entrenched in the second position of the standings under Inter Milan. Next, Alessio Romagnoli and his friends will visit Spezia’s headquarters, Saturday (25/9).
