Pirlo Assesses Himself as Juventus Coach

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Andrea Pirlo admits his performance as Juventus coach has not been satisfactory. He believes his score so far is 6 out of 10 in total.

Juventus have not appeared convincing enough this season. After nine consecutive Scudettos, now the Bianconeri are in danger of stopping their dominance by being separated from Inter Milan at the top of the standings.

Cristiano Ronaldo et al also disappoint in the Champions League. Juventus were eliminated in the last 16 for the second time in succession after losing two legs to Porto.

Coppa Italia titles are the most realistic to be realized in the rest of this season. Previously they had won the Italian Super Cup, but marrying it with the Coppa Italia is believed to be not enough for a club as big as Juventus.

Juventus’ performances so far have sparked some speculation regarding Pirlo’s future. The former midfielder also felt that his performance was not optimal.

“I will give myself a 6 out of 10 for the journey so far this season. I know I have to do more, and when you don’t achieve certain results, the coach is the first to take responsibility,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“My idea of football is to dominate the game and put pressure on the opponent. For a number of reasons, we have not been able to fully implement it. But the team is very excited to make it happen and we will work on it,” said Andrea Pirlo.
