Pochettino Admits His Team is Anxious
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino claimed his Tottenham side were troubled after an embarrassing defeat in the League Cup third round match against fourth-division club Colchester.
Tottenham were beaten 3-1 on penalties after being held 0-0 by a team 71 levels below.
Pochettino admitted many behind-the-scenes problems triggered the decline in team performance at the start of the season even though a few months ago they reached the Champions League final.
“When you have an agitated squad it’s always difficult and you lose time and then you need time to recover time wasted,” Pochettino said.
“That’s what we are now. Maybe we look good but you need these extras, namely mentality, connection, energy to be together, not the different agendas in the squad.”
“We need more time to build the togetherness that you need when you play at this level. We are in a period which is rather difficult for us but we continue to work to find a solution.”
