DBasia.news – Former Manchester United player Paul Scholes has continued to criticize Paul Pogba. The legend considers, Pogba is a player who always needs guidance.
Paul Pogba did not perform optimally when Manchester United were detained by Atalanta 2-2 in the 2021-2022 Champions League continued match. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also decided to pull out Pogba in the middle of the match.
Scholes feels, Pogba is a player who needs to always receive direction. Otherwise, the midfielder’s game will be bad.
“Pogba needs someone there who talks to him all the time. Someone he must respect and experience,” said Scholes as reported by BT Sport.
“Pogba is a very experienced player. However, he will reach the age of 35 and do foolish things over and over. He carries the ball aimlessly. Everyone knows that.”
“One thing a player must have is to focus on the game. Pogba’s mind sometimes wanders with the fairies.”
Scholes compared Pogba’s performance at Juventus to Manchester United. According to him, the situation at Juve is different.
“When he was at Juventus, Pogba played incredible. That’s the reason Manchester United signed him.”
“However, you can see there is Andrea Pirlo, Giorgio Chiellini, Gianluigi Buffon and aggressive managers who tell him all the time. He needs that kind of treatment until he is 35 years old,” added Scholes.
