Posting about the Corona Virus in Social Media, Obi Mikel was Asked to Remove it by Trabzonspor

DBasia.news – A few days ago, John Obi Mikel officially separated from Trabzonspor. Both parties agreed to terminate the contract that was supposed to expire on (31/06/06). Rumors stated that it was because of Instagram post upload about Corona Virus on his Instagram account.
At the weekend, John Obi Mikel criticized the Turkish League which was still rolling. He considered it to be very irresponsible in the midst of the Corona Virus pandemic . Moreover, many other leagues in the world have already been postponed.
Mikel finally opened up regarding the contract termination process carried out on the basis of the mutual agreement. He confirmed that his upload on Instagram did disturb the Trabzonspor officials.
“I spoke to President Trabzonspor, Ahmet Agaoglu, and he asked me to delete my post regarding the Corona Virus. I didn’t delete it. That is my opinion. I expressed my feelings, we live in a free world and I have freedom of speech. I can express my opinion, “explained John Obi Mikel as quoted by The Athletic.
Mikel stressed, he still wants to play and win the title. However, in the current conditions, football and trophies are not everything. Everyone’s health is more important than anything.
“I want to win the competition and become a champion. However, at this time, people’s health are more important. I want to help as much as possible to defeat this virus, “said the former Chelsea player.
Mikel further revealed, “I told them, I want to go home. They said, if I go home, I won’t be able to go back. Even so, I won’t change my mind. “
John Obi Mikel claimed that he had no plans after he left Trabzonspor. However, he hopes to move closer to England. The reason, his family lives there. “I will evaluate the best verdict,” he concluded.
