DBasia.news – Premier League is called the best league in the world due to the intense competition in each season. All teams might defeat each there, even the small one.

The situation is not ideal for young players. It’s proved how Premier League clubs seldom give the chance for football players under 21 in the 2018-2019 season.

From the total playing minute of Premier League clubs, only 5,3 percent belongs to players under 21. That is the lowest one among five Europe top leagues according to CIES.

Considering the under 21 players on the pitch, mostly come from average teams. Ruben Neves from Wolverhampton is one of them.

From the top table, there is only one young player often plays. He is Liverpool defender, Joe Gomez, who scored 85 percent from his playing minute.

From five Europe top leagues, Bundesliga is the frequent place for young players. 14,7 percent playing minute belongs to the player under 21.

There are three players with 100 percent playing minute in their teams. They are Lukas Muhl (Nurnberg), Santiago Ascacibar (Stuttgart), and Arne Maler (Hertha Berlin).

The second place belongs to Ligue 1 with 14,4 percent playing minute for players under 21. Interestingly, Kylian Mbappe isn’t listed in top 10 young players.

Surprisingly, Serie A put the trust on the young players more than LaLiga. The young players under 21 in Serie A stole 9,7 percent playing minute, and only 6,1 percent in LaLIga.
