PSG defeated by AS Monaco

By db-admin

DBasia.news – PSG were forced to return home with their heads down from the AS Monaco headquarters. Playing without Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe, Les Parisiens were beaten 3-1 by Les Rouge et Blanc at Stade Louis II in week 23 of Ligue 1 2022-2023.

Monaco’s three goals were opened by Aleksandr Golovin after just four minutes of play, then followed by Wissam Ben Yedder’s brace (18′, 45+2′), while PSG were only able to reply through Warren Zaire-Emery in the 39th minute.

Despite the loss, PSG’s position at the top of the standings has not changed, where they now have 54 points from 23 games, seven points ahead of Monaco who trail in second.

PSG are two goals down before the 20th minute for the second time in the last 11 Ligue 1 seasons, after February last year against Nantes (2-0 after 16 minutes).

PSG will next face Bayern Munich in the first leg of the last 16 of the Champions League, Wednesday (15/2) am, WIB, while Monaco will face Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League, Friday (17/2) am, WIB.
