PSG inaugurate the arrival of Gianluigi Donnarumma

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has officially been introduced as a new player for French giants, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Donnarumma, who has just completed his duties with the Italian national team at Euro 2020, is determined to continue his career in France with Paris Saint-Germain.

Donnarumma is PSG’s third free signing this summer. He followed in the footsteps of Georginio Wijnaldum and Sergio Ramos.

Rumors of the former AC Milan goalkeeper joining Paris have emerged since a few weeks ago. But PSG seemed to have given time to Donnarumma to focus on defending Italy at the 2020 European Cup.

The decision showed results as Gli Azzurri successfully won the title. Donnarumma was also voted the best player of the tournament.

Three days after the final, PSG finally announced the arrival of Donnarumma. The 22 year old player is tied to a long-term contract.

“Paris Saint-Germain is pleased to announce that Gianluigi Donnarumma has joined. The Italian goalkeeper has signed a five-year contract until June 30, 2026,” read a PSG statement.

PSG reportedly paid Donnarumma around 12 million euros per year. The amount is much higher than the one he received at Milan.

Donnarumma himself enthusiastically welcomed his new adventure with PSG. He has personal targets that are difficult to achieve if he is still with the Rossoneri.

“I am thrilled to be a part of this great club. I feel ready to take on new challenges and continue to grow here,” said Donnarumma.

“With PSG, I want to win as much as possible and bring joy to the fans.”
