PSG President received many cyber attacks after his phone number leaked

This has disturbed Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the President of PSG (Paris Saint-Germain) who became a victim of cyber attacks after his two cellphone numbers were leaked in 2018. A hacking platform called Pegasus was used by the perpetrators of the attack on Al-Khelaifi.

The platform was used to find out Al-Khelaifi’s personal data, as well as to find out the home phone number of Jean-Martial Ribes, Communications Director of Ligue 1 clubs.

The leak of the supremo’s cellphone number, according to French media, Le Monde, occurred at the end of 2018 during a diplomatic conflict between Qatar (the country of Al-Khelaifi’s birth) and Saudi Arabia.

Al-Khelaifi’s BeIN Media group is the main and regular target of the cyber attack. The spokesperson spoke about it.

“Malicious hacking and threats to our business and our people are a shocking everyday reality for our group,” a spokesperson said.

“We have known about cyberattacks against beIN Sports and its employees by certain entities for years. During this time, beIN has joined forces with legal advocates and many international organizations to fight piracy and uphold the rule of law.”

“However, sophisticated attacks on the interests and reputation of our group have also been marked by smear campaigns, commercial sabotage, false lawsuits and cyber attacks against our chairman (Nasser Al-Khelaifi).”

“These are just some of the daily threats to our business and our people. These actions are shameful and completely illegal, this is not political, often this is purely commercial espionage against beIN.”

“Relevant authorities must ensure that the full violations of the law of these rogue actors are held accountable,” the statement concluded.
