DBasia.news – Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has spoken out about the future of Napoli center-back Kalidou Koulibaly. He was disturbed by being asked about Koulibaly’s future and asked interested clubs to immediately enter into negotiations.

Koulibaly’s future continues to be rumored due to interest from big clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Manchester City. However, for now City is the front club to get the player from Senegal.

The reason is, Napoli have no objection to releasing Koulibaly, as long as the price is right. Koulibaly is priced at £90.5 million. In other words, Koulibaly’s fate is currently being determined by an interested club.

“You should ask Manchester United, Manchester City or PSG about the future of Koulibaly. In other words, ask those who can pay a high price,” said De Laurentiis quoted from Sportskeeda.

Reportedly, Man United and City have submitted bids. City submitted around 80 million pounds and Man United made an offer of 85 million pounds, but both rejected out of hand by De Laurentiis.

Since joining from Genk in 2014, the 29-year-old has become one of the best defenders in Italy with Napoli. He has played 246 appearances in all competitions with the achievement of one Coppa Italia win and one Italian Super Cup win.

“Kalidou is a great man. I would be very sad if I lost him, but there is time for everything, even for goodbyes,” said Laurentiis.

Furthermore, Kalidou admitted to relaxing with the transfer process, but that does not mean that the departure of his players is impossible. At the moment Man City were involved and they know the best way to get players.

Then, there is also Pep Guardiola who is his own attraction and Koulibaly guarantees him to be a player in the main squad. Man City currently needs a strong defender after Vincent Kompany left.
