Tottenham vs Chelsea

DBasia.news – The racism issue persists in Europe football. This time, BBC Sport reported the 17-year-old young man was arrested ahead of the London Derby between Tottenham Hotspur against Chelsea in the first leg of League Cup at Wembley, Wednesday (9/1).

In Twitter, the Police stated that the boy was arrested in North London police station, 20 minutes before the match. But, the initial report didn’t mention his name.

Also, it remains unclear whether the trigger is the racist abuse. The police also didn’t release whether he is the supporter of Spurs or Chelsea.

Actually, both clubs warned each supporter not to react negatively. England football is strengthening the supervision of racism.

It happened recently when Chelsea fans got fined £965 and banned to enter the stadium for three years after proved wrong due to the racist abuse. It’s a shame for England football.

Looking back to December 2018, Chelsea also sanctioned four supporters and banned them from watching the match during the investigation of racist abuse to Manchester City striker Raheem Sterling.

At the same month, Chelsea also released the warning after hearing the racist chant during the Europa League against MOL Vidi in Hungary.

Meanwhile, the recent match won by Tottenham Hotspur, Harry Kane’s goal at 26′ became the only goal. The Blues still have the chance to return the situation during the second leg on January 22nd, 2018.
