Ralf Rangnick: Erik Ten Hag’s playing style suits Man United

DBasia.news – Manchester United interim manager, Ralf Rangnick, once again praised Erik ten Hag, who will coach the Red Devils from next season. This time Rangnick said Ten Hag’s style of play would suit United.
Manchester United finally chose Erik ten Hag to become their permanent manager starting next season. The 52-year-old coach was tied to a three-year contract with the option of an extension for another season.
Ten Hag himself has had a challenging task at Man United. Ten Hag, who is currently still coaching Ajax Amsterdam, has the task of rebuilding the team and ensuring that Man United can return to the championship track. A difficult job that is predicted to take some time.
However, Ralf Rangnick has confidence that Ten Hag will be successful with Man United as he thinks the playing style he is carrying will suit the Red Devils.
“He is a coach who in the early stages of his career was still focused on ball possession. I think he is still doing it, but when you look at Ajax’s performance in the last game, they apply a counter-pressing style and are still trying to dominate the game. I think two this aspect of the game they showed well,” Rangnick told MUTV.
“Being as aggressive as possible while trying to win the ball but at the same time being a possession-based team, I think this will suit the way of playing for a club like Man United.”
