Rangnick blameed the referee in the Manchester United vs Burnley match

DBasia.news – Manchester United coach Ralf Rangnick was furious with the referee’s leadership in the match against Burnley. According to him, the referee made a mistake which caused the Red Devils to lose.

Manchester United scored three goals in the first half. However, of the three goals, only one was approved by the referee. The other two were cancelled.

First, Manchester United won 1-0 through Raphael Varane’s header. However, the goal was disallowed due to a violation first. The referee used the help of VAR to make that decision.

Then, Paul Pogba brought Manchester United to the lead. Welcoming feedback from the left side, Pogba’s shot slid into Burnley’s goal.

Manchester United scored again through Josh Brownhill own goal. However, the goal was again canceled by referee Mike Dean after Pogba’s first violation.

“There weren’t many things we could have done better in the first half,” Rangnick explained after the game to MUTV.

“We scored three goals, two of which were disallowed. Especially the second, no one really understands why it was disallowed and why the linesman said Pogba committed a foul after eight seconds of the incident. We should have been 2-0 up at half-time.”

Manchester United actually conceded in the second half. Jay Rodriguez took advantage of Man United’s back line that had not been focused at the start of the second half. The 1-1 score lasted until the long whistle.

“However, we said the same thing after the Middlesbrough game. We did well on the ball and in control of the game. Unfortunately, in the end it’s about winning the game.”

A draw made Manchester United thrown out of the Champions League zone. The Red Devils are in fifth position with 39 points from 23 matches.

“Today, getting a point after 94 minutes makes no one happy. Most importantly, if we are fourth in the league, we must not drop points like tonight,” said the manager.
