Rangnick is silent about Ronaldo’s absence in the Manchester Derby

DBasia.news – A big question still surrounds the relationship between Ralf Rangnick and Cristiano Ronaldo. The interim manager of Manchester United is reluctant to discuss the disappearance of CR7 in the Manchester Derby.
Ronaldo disappeared from the Manchester United squad ahead of a trip to Manchester City headquarters last weekend. The 37-year-old player has reportedly flown to Portugal to recover from a hip injury.
But many rumors say the reason is just a fabrication. Ronaldo is said to have left the city of Manchester because he was furious with Rangnick who planned to leave him.
The two are now said to be in a cold war. But Rangnick seemed unwilling to discuss these rumors.
“It doesn’t make sense to look back at what happened the last six or seven days. What matters is what happens tomorrow,” Rangnick said at a press conference ahead of the match against Tottenham Hotspur.
“He (Ronaldo) and Edi (Cavani), both are available for tomorrow.”
Ronaldo did return to Manchester after the derby match. However, he was able to practice independently.
Ronaldo’s future with Manchester United began to be doubted. Many predict the superstar could leave at the end of this season.
“I haven’t asked him (Ronaldo) if he is happy in Manchester at this club. But he is fit again and continued training yesterday,” he added.
“We will see which formation we will use in the next match.”
