Rangnick revealed Manchester United’s inconsistency

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Manchester United still appeared inconsistent under the tutelage of Ralf Rangnick. The German tactician revealed the cause.

Rangnick was appointed interim manager of Manchester United since late November. He replaced Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who was sacked due to a series of poor results.

Rangnick was given the task of accompanying Manchester United in the transition period. With a contract only until the end of the season, he is targeted to bring the Red Devils to finish in the top four.

High expectations accompany the arrival of Rangnick. He is believed able to maximize the potential of the stars that Manchester United has.

But more than two months in office, Manchester United are still struggling to penetrate the top four. This has caused a few to doubt Rangnick’s abilities.

Not staying silent, Rangnick explained his difficulties in dealing with Manchester United. One of them is because he came in the middle of the season.

“The challenge for me was that I came in mid-season when the team lacked confidence and didn’t work well. This team was not created by me either, and this is not an alibi or an excuse but a fact,” Rangnick told the club’s official website.

“For me, obviously speaking regularly to the players to make them feel confident and strong on the pitch as a team.”

“We have shown some improvement in the weeks and months. But there is still room for more in the future,” he added.

Rangnick does not agree that he is considered unable to lift Manchester United’s achievements. The results in the field are proof of that.

Rangnick is recorded to have accompanied Manchester United 14 times in all competitions. The result is seven wins, five draws and only two losses.

On average, Rangnick’s Manchester United won two points in every game in the Premier League. The English giants’ defense has also proved more difficult to break down since his arrival.

“If you win an average of two points [per game] throughout the season, you might finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League.”
