DBasia.news – Manchester United has shown its seriousness to become a candidate for the Premier League title fighter in the 2021-2022 season. After confirming the arrival of Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, United are now pursuing Raphael Varane.

“Manchester United is pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached in principle with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of Jadon Sancho,” read a statement on Man United’s official website.

“The signing is subject to contractual and medical terms, which will be completed following Jadon’s involvement at Euro 2020,” the statement added.

The details of the transfer amount were not announced. But it is believed by Fabrizio Romano, European football transfer expert United spent 90 million euros plus variables to redeem the 21 year old player from Dortmund.

Sancho, who is also a product of Manchester City’s academy, will sign a contract with United until 2026. He adds to the English player collection in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United squad which already has Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and Jesse Lingard.

Switching Target to Raphael Varane

Hearing the news of Sancho then switching to Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane aroused the enthusiasm of the fans. It is reported by ESPN Madrid are having difficulty extending Varane’s contract which expires in 2022.

Los Blancos are reportedly willing to sell him for 70 million euros and the player is allegedly willing to play in the Premier League. Madrid are also being chased by time to sell him rather than releasing the 28 year old player for free in 2022.

Varane can also be used as Madrid’s secret weapon to recruit Kylian Mbappe’s dream transfer from PSG. The money from the sale can be used to purchase the French national team striker.

“Rafael Varane. Understand that Florentino Perez is trying to include a French defender in the deal to sign Kylian Mbappe,” said Duncan Castles, a well-known sports journalist in Europe.

“Varane preferred the Premier League to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and expressed a desire to leave this summer, so Real Madrid are now negotiating a transfer fee,” he explained.
