By db-admin
DBasia.news – Raphinha, Leeds United winger will be Chelsea’s first signing in the 2022 summer transfer market. Of course this news is in the category of surprising, considering that the Brazilian winger was initially linked with Arsenal and Barcelona since the 2022 summer transfer window opened.
Raphinha is one of the names that the Blaugrana, Barcelona’s nickname, targeted to increase the strength of their front line. However, the financial difficulties that are currently afflicting the Catalan club have made his transfer cancelled.
Arsenal took advantage of that opportunity to approach the agile winger. However, now it is Arsenal’s city rivals, Chelsea, who are rumored to be bringing Raphinha to Stamford Bridge.
Raphinha has told Leeds United that he wants to leave for a club playing in the Champions League next season. Meanwhile, the Gunners, Arsenal’s nickname, only finished in the European League.
Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano, revealed via his Twitter, @Fabrizio Romano, on Wednesday (29/6/2022), that Chelsea and Leeds have reached a full agreement on the transfer of Raphinha. Reportedly, the two clubs agreed to sell the 25-year-old player at a price of 60-65 million pounds (Rp1-1.1 trillion).
Fabrizio Romano explained that currently transfer talks have entered the stage of an agreement and a personal contract for Raphinha. As soon as this is completed, the former Rennes player will officially move to the Blue London.
Although they will soon sign Raphinha, the Blues, Chelsea’s nickname, will reportedly still be eyeing Raheem Sterling. Reportedly, Chelsea have made a second offer for the Manchester City star after their first offer was rejected.
Chelsea coach, Thomas Tuchel, is said to want to bring in two new wingers in the summer transfer market of 2022. Because of that, Chelsea still insists on anchoring the England national team winger to Stamford Bridge.
