DBasia.news – AC Milan is reportedly starting to look for players as a cover for Hakan Calhanoglu who is predicted to leave. The Rossoneri made Hellas Verona midfielder Mattia Zaccagni a target.

Currently, Milan’s priority is to extend Hakan Calhanoglu’s contract. The Turkish national team player’s term of service will end in June 2021.

The negotiation process between Milan and Calhanoglu is not progressing. Milan could not meet the demand for the midfielder’s salary which reached 6 million euros.

Not surprisingly, Hakan Calhanoglu started looking for his next destination. News from Italy says Calhanoglu’s agent has offered his client to Inter Milan. Calhanoglu’s representatives have met Inter Milan’s top brass.

Hearing the news, Milan began to prepare to lose Hakan Calhanoglu. Calciomercato reports that Milan are monitoring Mattia Zaccagni, who has performed well with Verona.

In the 2020-2021 season, Mattia Zaccagni played in 36 Serie A matches. The 26-year-old attacking midfielder recorded five goals plus seven assists.

However, Milan are not alone in the hunt for Mattia Zaccagni. Inter Milan have been linked with Zaccagni for a long time.

Mattia Zaccagni’s Brief Profile

Mattia Zaccagni is a graduate of the Hellas Verona academy. He has strengthened Verona’s academy since the summer of 2013.
