Real Madrid blunt in the penalty box

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Carlo Ancelotti admitted he was disappointed with his team’s attack line which failed to score more than one goal in Real Madrid’s last three matches in all competitions. Most recently, a 0-0 draw by Real Betis in LaLiga, then they also suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Barcelona and drew 1-1 in the previous Derby Madrid.

“I’m more annoyed than angry. It’s not normal for a team of this quality to not score more than one goal in the last three games. The players are also disappointed because we have the quality to score goals and we always do. We have to be more clinical,” Ancelotti stated as quoted from the club’s official website.

As well as failing to score more than once in their last three games, they have also failed to win in any of those games, with two of them coming in La Liga, and that leaves them nine points behind leaders, Barca. Even so, Ancelotti still emphasized that Los Blancos still have a chance to win La Liga and will continue to fight until the end.

“I don’t think the league is over. The points difference is big, nine, but we have to fight until the end. I don’t know what will happen, but we still have a lot of games to play. One thing that is clear is that we have to do better,” said Don Carlo

Before playing the second leg of the last 16 of the Champions League against Liverpool, Los Blancos will first host Espanyol in La Liga, Saturday (11/3) evening WIB.
