DBasia.news – Real Madrid and other clubs have also been affected by the FIFA virus after Luka Modric’s injury. But Los Blancos did not receive a compensation fee from the world football confederation.

Modric participated in defending the Croatian national team in the last two UEFA Nations League matches. He played an important role in bringing his country through to the semifinals.

Unfortunately, Modric brought unpleasant news when he returned to Madrid. He suffered a hip injury which caused him to be out for some time.

Modric should at least rest within the last week. The 37-year-old player is also confirmed to be absent when Madrid host Osasuna in the 2022-2023 LaLiga continuation, this weekend.

Losing Modric for a while in fact did not make Madrid apprehensive. Dani Ceballos is prepared to fill the position left by the former Tottenham Hotspur player.

Although Modric was injured while defending his country, Madrid will certainly not receive compensation fees from FIFA. According to a report by Diario AS, new compensation fee will be given to the club if the injured player takes more than 28 days to recover.

Barcelona is the latest club to be eligible for a compensation fee from FIFA. That’s after a number of key players suffered severe injuries while defending their country in the same period.

Ronald Araujo became the player with the worst injury as he would most likely miss the next three months. Barcelona will also receive a compensation fee of 20,548 euros per day until the player recovers.
