DBasia.news – Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane does not want his team to lay low with the current standings of four points ahead of Barcelona in second place. Zidane said Madrid is currently still struggling to win the trophy.
Real Madrid won 1-0 when they hosted Getafe in the 33rd LaLiga match 2019-2020, at Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium on Friday (3/7). The victory made Madrid widen the distance from Barcelona to four points.
Madrid’s only goal scored by Sergio Ramos in the 79th minute. The goal was created from the white spot.
“There are three more points. Those are the three points that are very important,” Zinedine Zidane said as reported by Movistar.
“We have to win, but it won’t be excessive. For us, nothing has changed. We have five final matches,” he continued.
“We haven’t won anything yet. I know what this is like and until this is over, we can’t say anything.”
“We know we will suffer a lot. They are pressing very high. I think with patience there are goals that can be achieved.”
Up next, Real Madrid will visit Athletic Bilbao headquarters on Sunday (5/7). After that, Madrid will host Alaves, Saturday (11/7).
Zidane rates Madrid players deserve appreciation. Moreover, previously Los Blacos were in a position behind Barcelona.
“That’s what we do, having peace of mind as this is the key moment. You have to congratulate the players because it’s not easy, physically or mentally,” Zidane said.
