Real Madrid Extend Dani Carvajal’s Contract
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Real Madrid has so far not been too active in recruiting players in the summer transfer market. Los Blancos just recruited David Alaba for free after his contract ended at Bayern Munich.
Madrid also recruited Carlo Ancelotti as coach to replace Zinedine Zidane. Instead of getting new ammunition, Los Merengues lost a senior player, captain and club legend, Sergio Ramos.
Ramos left because he did not want to extend his contract at Madrid and joined PSG (Paris Saint-Germain). Do not want something similar to happen, Madrid is also focused on extending the contracts of senior players.
Failing to apply it to Ramos, Madrid successfully did it for Luka Modric (contract until 2022), Lucas Vazquez (contract until 2024), and Nacho Fernandes (contract until 2023). Now it’s Dani Carvajal’s turn.
The 29-year-old right-back has signed a new contract until 2025 (four-year contract).
“Real Madrid and Dani Carvajal have agreed on a contract extension which binds the player at the club for another four seasons, until 30 June 2025,” read a statement on Real Madrid’s official website.
Reportedly after Carvajal Madrid want to extend Karim Benzema’s contract with a new contract issue until 2023. Carvajal has been at the club for more than 20 years, he joined La Fabrica as a youth before playing in the 2013-2014 first team when Ancelotti was coaching in his first term.
Since then Carvajal has been irreplaceable at Madrid’s right-back position and helped the team win four Champions League titles in the span of five years. Carvajal also briefly played at Bayer Leverkusen in 2012-2013 before Madrid activated the buy-back clause.
