Real Madrid Haven’t Lived up to Carlo Ancelotti’s Expectations

DBasia.news – Real Madrid picked up three points after beating Real Betis 1-0, in the third week of LaLiga, Sunday (29/8) early morning WIB. This result is very positive for Madrid, which the previous week only drew away to Levate headquarters.
However, being able to return to winning ways did not make the coach satisfied. Carlo Ancelotti actually found many shortcomings in the appearance of his team, especially in terms of defense.
As reported by AS, Ancelotti said he was disappointed with the intensity of his squad’s game.
“When you lose the ball, you have to be able to keep pressing your opponent. The intensity of our play, especially defensively, was very low,” said Ancelotti.
“We still have to work hard. This team has the energy to be able to use a high defensive line.”
Even so, there is one player that Ancelotti considers to be an example for his colleagues. That player is Daniel Carjaval who scored Madrid’s only goal against Betis.
Ancelotti said the intensity of the game shown by the Spanish right-back could be an example for other Real Madrid players.
Overall, Ancelotti assesses his team is still far from what he wanted. Madrid is currently seen not able to show the right intensity of the game.
“We have performed in a balanced manner. However, there are still a number of aspects that must be improved, including the matter of defensive intensity,” said Ancelotti.
