Real Madrid Reportedly Chose to Postpone Signing Erling Haaland until 2023

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Real Madrid reportedly prefer to wait until 2023 to sign Erling Haaland and they have indicated that to the Borussia Dortmund striker.

Erling Haaland continues to be linked with a move away from Borussia Dortmund with several big European clubs interested in signing him.

One of them is Real Madrid who are currently reportedly leading the race for his signature, but they are not planning on signing him this summer.

According to a report from Ruhr Nachrichten, El Real have informed Haaland of their plans. Los Blancos are planning to sign Kylian Mbappe this summer which will cost them most of their money. And the Spanish giants also still have Karim Benzema who has 18 months left on his current contract.

According to the newspaper, El Real asked Haaland to stay at Dortmund for another year and then move to the Spanish capital in 2023.

This also seems to be in line with the wishes of the higher-ups at BVB who have previously made it clear that they want the Norway international to stay at the club for one more season. And reports claim that they are even willing to double his salary.

Talks between the two sides to discuss Haaland’s future are expected to take place in the coming weeks.

But Ruhr Nachrichten believes the 21-year-old will likely need some time before making a decision about his future.
