DBasia.news – Two goals from Marcus Rashford and James Garner gave a 2-0 victory for Manchester United in the pre-season trial match against Perth Glory on Saturday (13/7) evening WIB.
Two new Man United recruits, Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, also played in the match. However, Romelu Lukaku, Eric Bailly, Victor Lindelof and Lee Grant were not in the United squad.
Lukaku’s absence further strengthened rumors of his departure to Inter Milan. Moreover, recently this Inter representative has met with United in Manchester to discuss his transfer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, United manager, revealed the reason for not including Lukaku in the squad of his team, Lukaku and three other players were given time to recuperate to play the next trial match against Leeds United (17/1).
“All of them (Lukaku, Eric Bailly, Victor Lindelof, and Lee Grant) are fine, there are only a few problems (which could be minor injuries) that we only want to protect. We might see them on Wednesday (17/7), “Solskjaer stated.
After facing Leeds, United will play Inter Milan (20/7), Tottenham Hotspur (25/7), Kristiansund (31/7), and AC Milan (3/8) in the preseason series.
