Mbaye Niang became the hero in this match, thanks to the contribution of two goals to make Rennes reap three successive wins in the domestic league.

The host had difficulty penetrating the Angers defense led by Romain Thomas. Even though playing as the host, they were often troubled through counterattack.

In the middle of the first half, M’Baye Niang made the whole stadium rumble. Maximizing counterattack, Raphinha dribbled from the middle of the field to the Angers penalty box. He then released the bait that stayed cheated Niang.

Rennes’ second goal was created just 10 minutes ahead of the game dispersal. The goal scheme is almost the same as the first goal, Raphinha continued to send bait to Niang.

Angers were able to reduce the position when the game entered the extra minutes of the second half. Rachid Alioui listed his name on the scoreboard after maximizing the wild ball from a corner kick.
