Revealed, the only candidate to replace Ronald Koeman at Barcelona

Koeman officially stepped down from his position on Thursday (28/10) am, WIB. That was after Barcelona lost 0-1 to Rayo Vallecano in the 2021-2022 LaLiga continuation.

The decision to dismiss Koeman was quite surprising as it was made just hours after the match against Rayo. But this was predicted beforehand.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona already has a single candidate to replace Koeman. The figure in question is Xavi Hernandez.

“No announcement has been made for Koeman’s replacement at Barcelona. It will take a few hours while negotiations are ongoing for Xavi to leave Al Sadd & become the new manager,” Fabrizio Romano tweeted.

“Other candidates for the job also know Xavi is the favourite.”

Xavi is the right person to handle Barcelona. He already knows inside and out about the philosophy of El Barca.

Interestingly, Xavi had rejected offers to handle Barcelona in the past. However, this was more because they wanted to seek experience elsewhere.
