DBasia.news – Watford’s winning trend in EPL must stop after the match in their home. Playing against Manchester United on Saturday (25/9), Troy Deeney and friends got a 1-2 defeat.
Romelu Lukaku and Chris Smalling goals just returned once by Andre Gray’s contribution. MU legendary defender Rio Ferdinand praised the strategy of The Red Devils coach, Jose Mourinho.
He assumed the former Chelsea, FC Internazionale, and Real Madrid coach has found the perfect combination for MU’s central field. So far, Mourinho tried the different scheme and players in the central area.
But in the match defeating Watford, Mourinho combined the trio: Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, and Marouane Fellaini. The coach’s decision to send Fellaini is considered by Ferdinand as the success key of MU in defeating Watford’s central line.

“For a game like this, 100% and it’s been proven,” Ferdinand said when asked whether the combination was the best available to Mourinho.
“Burnley away, they played very well. Fellaini was good in that game as well. Today he was the man of the match for Manchester United. I think today the balance in that midfield looked very good against this type of opposition away from home,” Ferdinand continued.
However, Ferdinand realized that they need to see whether the combination of Pogba, Matic, and Fellaini could present the maximum performance while playing against the champion candidate like Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester City.
The victory against Watford was the first two consecutive winnings for MU this season. But MU still stuck in the 8th rank of the standing with 6 points difference with the first and second position filled by Chelsea and Liverpool.
