Roberto Mancini revealed one weakness in the derby d’Italia

DBasia.news – The continuation of the 2021-2022 Serie A will be marked by a prestigious duel between Inter Milan and Juventus this weekend. However, the match titled Derby d’Italia has one drawback in the eyes of the Italian national team coach, Roberto Mancini.
Inter’s match against Juventus will take place at the Giuseppe Meazza, Monday (25/10) at 01.45 WIB. Both teams will definitely appear determined to win the match.
Mancini is certainly no stranger to the Derby d’Italia atmosphere. That’s because the 56-year-old was once in charge of the Nerazzurri.
But Mancini will look at the shortcomings of the Derby d’Italia from the Gli Azzurri coach’s point of view. He considered the list of players who took part in this prestigious match was still too small.
“Juve-Inter has always been an important game in Italy, not only when I was coaching the Nerazzurri, even before. They are two teams that have made football history,” Mancini said at the Colalucci Prize.
“This (Derby d’Italia) gives satisfaction. But it’s still too little for what the Italians can do.”
Mancini’s uneasiness is understandable. At the 2020 European Cup, he only brought a total of six players from the two clubs.
This is certainly ironic because Juventus and Inter are two big clubs in Italy. But both seem to give little space for local players.
In Inter, the Italian players who became the main choices were only Nicolo Barella and Alessandro Bastoni. Meanwhile Matteo Darmian and Federico Dimarco are still just coatings.
While conditions are better seen at Juventus. At least now there are five Italian players, namely Federico Chiesa, Manuel Locatelli, Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini, and Federico Bernardeschi who regularly fill the main squad.
