Roberto Mancini wants to return to coach the club
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Roberto Mancini is enjoying his career as coach of the Italian national team. But he did not deny that he had felt longing to coach the club again.
Mancini successfully returned the big name of Italian football this summer. Gli Azzurri, who failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup, brought him the 2020 European Cup trophy.
This achievement has certainly made Mancini targeted by big clubs last summer. But the 56-year-old man firmly rejected all incoming offers in order to focus on the Italian national team.
Mancini is ambitious to present another trophy for the Italian national team. The UEFA Nations League title is the closest now.
Even so, Mancini apparently felt the longing to return to managing a club. He reveals the times when those feelings arise.
“Coaching a club? I miss my everyday life a little bit (as a club coach),” Mancini told BoboTV.
“When you play a lot with the national team, like in the last few months, you miss it less. But when you have five months to wait to get back on the pitch like November to March, or March to June it’s more challenging.”
The duties of a club and national team coach are very different. Mancini seems to have felt the difference.
One is busier at club level because of working for almost a whole year. While in the national team, the tactician only met in a shorter time with his players.
Mancini’s statement could be an indication for interested clubs who are interes in him. But this may only be possible after the 2022 World Cup title.
