Robin van Versie Considers Unai Emery Unable to Overcome Arsenal’s Main Problems

DBasia.news – Former Arsenal striker, Robin van Persie, rates Unai Emery is unable to direct the team well. Van Persie reckoned that Emery and the team manager could not connect with Arsenal players at the Emirates.
Emery is in his second season at the Emirates Stadium after replacing Arsene Wenger, but the team’s recent performances have failed to make anyone believe he is the right person to lead the Gunners.
After locking in a 3-2 victory over Vitoria in the Europa League, Thursday, Van Persie claimed Arsenal had not improved under Emery by failing to build relationships with the players.
“I don’t think Emery is really connected to the players,” Van Persie told BT Sport.
“I think they are still weak in the set piece, the problem happened when I was there, to be honest. Everyone must feel responsible. Are you playing in the zone or are you playing one on one? “
“Last weekend they also conceded from a corner kick. I said this a few weeks ago, Arsenal lost 12-15 points per season by a set piece and that must be stopped. You have to find a way for this.
“You can see some players, and this is not to judge the coach based on tonight, this is based on a few months ago and even a year earlier. As a player, you want to have the feeling you have to run back and now you see some players running slowly backwards. There is danger there.
“If you have a very strong coach, and you are in midfield, and you see a danger somewhere, you would sprint because you know if you don’t you will get punished.”
