Rodrigo Bentancur threatens Son Heung-min

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Rodrigo Bertancur threatens Son Heung-min ahead of fighting in the 2022 World Cup. The Tottenham Hotspur duo had the opportunity to go head to head in the tournament which took place in Qatar.

Bentancur is one of the key players for the Uruguay national team in midfield. His quality is very much needed to bring the South American representative to far in the 2022 World Cup.

Meanwhile, Son Heung-min is the captain and main star of South Korea. His speed and goal sense are the main weapons of the Taeguk Warriors.

Interestingly, Uruguay and South Korea are both in Group H. The duel between Bentancur and Son-Heung-min is almost inevitable.

Uruguay on paper are more favored when meeting South Korea. However, Bentancur assessed that the presence of Son Heung-min made his team unable to get excited.

Bentancur had already discussed this duel with Son Heung-min. He also gave a threat to his team-mate.

“Son Heung-min and I used to joke around a lot. He’s a lovely person, both as a player and a human being,” Bentancur told ESPN.

“I always told Son that I was going to hurt him a week before the World Cup so he would limp.”

The threat is, of course, just a joke. Injuring Son Heung-min will actually make Bentancur hostile to other Tottenham players.

The joke is actually proof of Bentancur’s recognition of Son Heung-min’s quality. He will definitely warn his team-mates in the Uruguayan national team to be wary of him.

“I feel honored to be on the same team with him. Son Heung-min is a great person,” he concluded.
