Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima’s speed is hard to match when in top form

DBasia.news – Brazilian football legend, Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima is the best striker in the world. His speed in dribbling is hard to be matched by anyone, especially if he is in top form.

Brazil’s natural speed, natural talent, and sharpness of goal has combined together in Ronaldo who has defended Cruzeiro, PSV Eindhoven, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, AC Milan and Corinthians.

He has also won two World Cup titles with the Brazilian national team. Together with Real Madrid, Ronaldo became a big project in Los Galacticos’ plans and there in mid 2002-2007 he won a LaLiga title, Intercontinental Cup and Spanish Super Cup.

The ball was so hard to snatch from his feet when he tried to dribble it past the opponent. Former team-mate, Oscar Garcia admitted that it was very challenging to grab the ball from him even when Ronaldo was running to celebrate.

“I am fortunate to be close to him for some of his goals, I saw how fast he moved, even difficult to catch him to celebrate goals, he is still at the same speed,” said Oscar Garcia told Marca.

“From his first training session, we saw that he was a different player and he would help us a lot.”

“You just knew he would become a world star, and rightly so, but what most caught your attention was his humility, he treated everyone the same and always smiled and joked, he gained confidence very quickly,” Garcia added.

The recognition is not exaggerated, as Roberto Carlos who played with Ronaldo at Real Madrid and the Brazilian national team also admitted it.

“Until (Lionel) Messi’s arrival, I had not seen a player who ran with the ball at that speed. I only saw him and Messi doing so,” added Roberto Carlos.

“I am fortunate to have many great teammates, but without a doubt Ronaldo is in the top three,” he concluded.

The only way to stop Ronaldo when he is dribbling is to cut the ball before it gets to his feet.

“We always meet each other, I will finish training and go to his house, or he will come to me, we spend time together all the time,” added Roberto Carlos.

“He is the best striker in the world, he gave us a lot of confidence. The key to defending against him is to stop him getting the ball,” he explained.
