DBasia.news – Cristiano Ronaldo rose after performing poorly last mid-week. Two goals from Ronaldo helped Juventus defeat Parma 4-0 in the continued Italian League at Ennio Tardini, Sunday (20/12/2020).
Dejan Kulusevski (23 ‘), Alvaro Morata (85′) scored one goal and Cristiano Ronaldo scored the remaining two goals (26 ’48’). Juventus deserved to win the match as they excelled in everything including 63 percent of ball possession, 19 kicks and seven on target.
They were so happy with the performance of Leonardo Bonucci and his team, the coach, Andrea Pirlo, assessed that this was the appearance his players wanted to see.
“Tonight is the Juventus that I want to see. We need to win this match, our strikers, Cristiano and Alvaro has to score goals again. We have to work collectively and Aaron Ramsey also has a great game,” Pirlo told DAZN.
“We are slowly achieving what we all want, not only me, but also the players. I like the high pressure especially when the opponent has the ball, we can win it back quickly and that allows us to control the game.”
“The passion goes into the players and we are stepping up game by game. We now realize that we are on the right track, that we will have this attitude in every game whether we are against Parma or Barcelona.”
“We have to press high, be aggressive and win the ball back so we can control the game,” concluded Pirlo.
The victory was even more special for Juventus superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo. Quoted from Football-Italia Ronaldo became the fifth player in Serie A history to score at least 32 goals in a year, the first after Juventus legend, Omar Sivori in 1961.
The amount is also the same as Stefano Nyers in 1951. 2020 is not over yet and there are still a few games for Ronaldo to play, the records above him are Felice Borel (41 goals in 1933) and Gunnar Nordahl (36 goals in 1950). Ronaldo scored 32 goals in 28 Serie A matches in 2020.
