DBasia.news – AC Milan are in the euphoric moment with their fans after the success to enter the Serie A big four Champions League zone. Rossoneri won with a 2-1 score against Genoa in the match at San Siro.

The match was intense against the only team who could steal the point from Juventus. Genoa played draw 1-1 against Juventus on Serie A this season. Milan won at 4″ by Suso’s goal.

Genoa equalized the situation at 56′ by Alessio Romagnoli’s own goal. The Italian defender deflected the ball from Cristian Kouame and passed Gianluigi Donnarumma. Eventually, Romagnoli could compensate it by the decisive goal at 90+1′.

Romagnoli did a similar thing to what Thiago Silva did when he scored his own goal for the team on November 8th, 2009, when Milan won 2-1 against Lazio.

It’s not only Romagnoli who had an interesting statistic, but also Milan’s clean sheets. Donnarumma got conceded in the match against Genoa. It means Milan failed to guard their net against conceded in Serie A 10 consecutive matches.

This happened the first time since 1932-1933. The last time Milan scored clean sheet was on April 15, 2018, when they played draw against Napoli. It would be a task for Gennaro Gattuso, Milan’s allenatore.

Whatever it is, the fans are delighted because their beloved team are in the fourth rank of Serie A table or Champions League zone. Now, it’s time to wait for Milan’s struggle to preserve it because they have similar points achievement to Lazio (18 points), also close to Fiorentina, Sampdoria, AS Roma, and Sassuolo with 15 points.
