Roy Keane says Harry Maguire is like a robot

DBasia.news – Manchester United’s 3-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in Week 10 of the Premier League, Saturday (30/10) night WIB, did not overlook the Red Devils’ 0-5 defeat of eternal rivals, Liverpool.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who is under pressure also understands this, a moment he calls to be one of the darkest history of Man United.

“Of course we can’t just forget that. It (the defeat to Liverpool) will always be history, one of the darkest days we have experienced. That’s a bad record on our CV,” said Solskjaer after the game against Tottenham.

The defeat continues to be discussed as Liverpool are the eternal rivals of Man United, besides the way United lost which was also in the spotlight. Man United did not have the determination to play and the desire to win the ball.

United’s defense which consists of three English players Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw is very fragile. That frustrated United legend Roy Keane. Keane couldn’t even stand to watch the players’ interviews after the game, calling Maguire like a robot.

“Individual performances, last week Maguire and Shaw were a disgrace. A real shame for the club. And this is an established international footballer,” said Keane as quoted by the Mirror.

“Wan-Bissaka, I don’t even think Palace will bring him back now. He’s not good enough for Manchester United. No feeling for the ball. No decision making.”

“But what Manchester United have always had over the years, no matter the talent, are players with character and personality. I don’t see it with this group.”

“I heard Maguire talk for a week. He’s like a robot. He was like, ‘Apologies to the fans’ There’s no emotion behind it.”

“And these guys are in a good European Cup for England. They have appeared before for the big games. But recently, and Shaw has returned to his old habits of a few years ago.”

“I’m sick of the chatter after the game with people apologizing. Harry Maguire talks about ‘We have to come together as a group’. No, you need to manage your game.”

“If you want to be the leader of that group, then you have to master the basics properly. You need to do your own thing.”

“People keep saying he might not be fit. Maybe unsuitable? He scored against Leicester a few weeks ago. It has nothing to do with fitness. It’s just a lack of professionalism. He didn’t do his job properly.”
