Said to be overweight, Neymar defends himself

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Neymar was considered to have a problem with weight at the start of the 2021-2022 season. The Brazilian star also has an odd way to answer it.

Neymar has only appeared once with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) at the start of this season. Even though Ligue 1 has been running for four weeks.

Neymar appeared as a starter in the fourth match against Reims, last weekend. But he was only given the opportunity to play for 66 minutes before being replaced by Lionel Messi.

The problem is, Neymar’s performance in that match was far from impressive. This was used by the French media to provide scathing criticism.

One of the highlights is Neymar’s less than ideal body posture. His abdomen appaered to be bloated.

Similar comments also resurfaced after Brazil defeated Chile 1-0 in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, Friday (3/9) am, WIB. Neymar who appeared fully continued to be in the spotlight because of his weight.

But this time Neymar did not remain silent. He felt that his abdomen had appeared bloated because of the oversized jersey.

“This (Brazil) jersey is size G (large), but I have the right weight. Next game I will order (size) M,” Neymar wrote on his Instagram Stories by attaching a photo of him against Chile.

Neymar’s less than ideal weight is actually still understandable. He was one of the last players to follow the pre-season.

That can’t be separated from his success in leading Brazil to the 2021 Copa America final. He didn’t seem to have kept his diet while enjoying the holidays.

Even so, Neymar can’t just relax. He is no longer the only star on PSG’s front lines after the arrival of Messi and the retention of Kylian Mbappe.
