Salah and Mane fly to Africa, Liverpool will have difficulty

DBasia.news – Liverpool is currently still on the right track in the hunt for the Premier League and Champions League titles. Moreover, the condition of the Reds’ core players is excellent and not injured.
However, Liverpool’s real problem could occur in January 2022. Not only will the winter transfer window open, Liverpool will also lose their two main goal-scorers up front: Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
Between the two, so far they have contributed 28 goals and seven assists, bringing Liverpool just one point adrift of Manchester City at the top of the table.
Liverpool do not have the depth of a squad as good as Chelsea or Manchester City, no doubt Gabriel Agbonlahor, a former Aston Villa striker assesses that the absence of Salah and Mane can create problems at Liverpool.
Agbonlahor discussed the lack of depth in Liverpool’s squad, suggesting the Merseyside club could use the winter transfer window to sign new players to cover the absences of Mane and Salah.
“You can’t lose Salah and Mane for four to six games, when you have players like Chelsea and Manchester City who have so much squad depth and can bring quality players into their team,” Agbonlahor told talkSPORT.
“You look at (Diogo) Jota, a fantastic player but (Roberto) Firmino has injury concerns, (Divock) Origi when he starts is not the same as when he comes on as a substitute.
“They have a problem there, Jurgen Klopp probably already has someone.”
“Look at how many games Salah has won alone, the few assists, the goals he has scored, without him and also Mane, the team is no longer feared. They won’t give (Takumi) Minamino any respect, Origi, Chamberlain, these players.”
“Liverpool has a leader in that team to maybe find a way to win this game but for me it would be a concern to lose so many goals for four to six games.”
