Salah doesn’t promise to continue at Liverpool
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Mohamed Salah has made Liverpool fans anxious. The Egyptian national player can not provide a guarantee to continue to stay at Anfield.
Salah has become Liverpool’s main star since signing from AS Roma in the summer of 2017. His contribution has been great in the Reds’ success in winning the Champions League and Premier League titles.
But Salah’s brilliance has made big European clubs interested in hijacking him from Liverpool. Real Madrid became one of the most eager to sign him.
Salah’s contract will expire in the summer of 2023. Liverpool must immediately extend the bond of cooperation before the situation becomes complicated.
Liverpool have reportedly tried to extend Salah’s contract. However, no agreement has been made.
The salary factor is said to be the main problem in Salah’s contract extension. The 29-year-old player certainly wants to receive a salary that is equal to his contribution.
Salah himself finally opened up regarding this polemic. He admits his future is determined by Liverpool officials.
“If you ask, I want to stay (at Liverpool) until the last day of my football career. But I can’t say much about that because (the decision) is not in my hands,” Salah told Sky Sports.
“It depends on what the club wants, not me. Right now I can’t see myself play against Liverpool.”
From this statement, Liverpool officials did not seem to want to fulfill Salah’s request. This is certainly a breath of fresh air for clubs who are interested in him.
It is possible that Liverpool will sell Salah at the end of the season. This period was indeed their last chance to make big profits.
