Salah’s Level Equal As Ronaldo and Modric

DBasia.news – There are three players nominated in FIFA Best Men’s Player 2018. They are Mohamed Salah (Liverpool/Egypt), Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus/Portugal), and Luka Modric (Real Madrid/Croatia). Egypt new coach, Javier Aguirre, believed Salah’s level is equal to Ronaldo and Modric.

“It is equal between the three, no one is above the other, but only one can win, hopefully, it will be Salah,” said Aguirre in an interview with Agencia EFE in Egypt, ahead of the awarding ceremony on September 24 in London.

Salah nominated after bringing Liverpool to the 2018 Champions League final. Besides, he also scored the goal record in the Premier League with 32 goals last season. Aguirre believed Salah will perform accurately this season. But he indicated, it won’t be easy for him to repeat the fantastic achievement like the previous season.

“It’s not easy, this is just beginning. Goalscorers like Salah, Ronaldo, and Messi go through streaks, suddenly they are scoring three goals a game,” Aguirre insisted.

In this chance, Aguirre the former Mexico national team coach revealed his feeling when bringing Egypt to win 6-0 against Niger on September 8. It was his first debut with Egypt.

“I will do my best to make Egypt play soccer well and give its people joy,” he asserted. “I am very happy with the start of the national team, that people have enjoyed seeing their team,” Aguirre said.

However, Aguirre won’t answer to compare Egypt under his leadership to the previous era under Hector Cuper. Moreover, Cuper was the first coach who brought Egypt to qualify for the World Cup for the first time since 1990.
