Salary Too High, Manchester United Would be Happy to Sell Paul Pogba to Real Madrid

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Former Bayern Munich legend Willy Sagnol believes Manchester United would be happy to sell Paul Pogba to Real Madrid because the Frenchman’s salary is too high.

Manchester United brought Pogba from Juventus in the summer of 2016. At that time, Manchester United had to spend 105 million euros.

This season, Pogba has not been able to show his maximum performance for Manchester United because he is more often dealing with injuries. The midfielder has even been absent since December 2019 due to an ankle injury.

Sagnol believes that Madrid is the most appropriate club for Pogba if the 27-year-old midfielder decides to leave Old Trafford. According to Sagnol, the current situation is very supportive for the player to join Real Madrid.

“All the conditions are there for Paul to go to Real Madrid. Florentino Perez wants him, Zidane wants him, and Pogba too,” Sagnol told RMC Sport

“I think Manchester United will be happy because they don’t have to pay high salaries anymore, and they will have the money to invest in new players. Everything is prepared for that to happen. I just hope we see Paul with France and not Paul at Manchester United, “he concluded.

Despite getting support from Sagnol to bring in Pogba, Real Madrid must think about their balance sheet if they want to spend a large number of players on the upcoming transfer market. Because, Real Madrid is reported to be one of the clubs affected financially due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
